We spent May long weekend in Vancouver with family. It was Casper's first flight and he was a dream baby. He smiled at the flight attendants when they walked by and slept most of the way. I was able to sip my ginger ale, watch Love It or List It Vancouver and wish I had brought my book in my carry on... We took Linus to Vancouver Island when he was 3 months old and it was just as easy. Such a great time to travel.
Vancouver was beautiful as always. The rhododenrons were blooming around every corner. We stayed in a hotel downtown, just a few blocks from where my dad, brother and step mom are staying while they renovate their home. We walked most places- Gastown, the park, the aquarium, the playground, along the water and to grab breakfast each morning. Linus had so much fun playing Lego and Star Wars with his uncles Zane and Elias. We miss those guys like crazy.
We're looking forward to going back for a longer visit in August. Hoping to meet a new little cousin!

Linus- Freshly four. Ready to take on his new responsibilities.
Casper- Listening to the thunder and the rain.

Last day as a 3 year old.

Today was Linus' last day as a 3 year old. My sweet little boy. I could go on and on about how hard it is for me to comprehend that my baby boy is another year older. A four year old. And four is MUCH older than three.
Instead I'll just say... I'm so happy that he is about to turn four and I am so sad that he is about to turn four.
I grabbed my camera before bed time and snapped a few photos of this beautiful boy. I think they capture him perfectly. Giddy with excitement over what four will bring. We know it will include a bouncy castle, so it must be pretty great. Tomorrow we will spend the afternoon at the park, celebrating with family, eating Star Wars cupcakes, and basking in the sweetness of four-year-old Linus.

p.s. That is a carrot tattoo on his arm. He wore it for show-and-tell and told his class it was because carrots are his favorite food.

Casper + Linus- On our way home from visiting family in Vancouver Linus came down with an awful illness. He was sick for a few days, but is feeling much better now. Just in time for his birthday! Casper has a few sniffles, but he's doing well. Oh, and we finally got rid of his cradle cap, so he's looking pretty spiffy these days.

Casper + Linus- Casper turned 2 months old and Linus has been singing dinosaur songs all week.

Casper + Linus- On Mother's Day morning. These two are my whole world. I simply can't get enough.

I'm playing some serious catch up, again... I suck at blogging. I do hope to have a bunch of new posts up this week and to get back on track with this 52 week project. I've been taking photos nearly every day, but I just can't manage to find the time to upload any of them or even check my e-mail. You won't find anything new here tomorrow, though. We'll be celebrating Linus' 4th birthday in the park with family. It's been a very bittersweet week for me. Both of my boys seem to have grown up over night. They've changed so much. Casper isn't a newborn anymore. He is a chubby, calm, cheerful little babe. He giggled for the very first time this week. Full on giggles! I was in heaven. And my big boy Linus... Oh, how did I get so lucky to know such a beautiful, sensitive, intelligent and completely hilarious little dude. I remember the day he was born. The moment I first saw him. "My baby!!". I knew he would rock my world and bring so much joy to all of us, but I never could have imagined this. He's truly a remarkable four year old... and he's mine. All mine.
