"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Linus- The sweetest helper. Legs and feet covered in bruises and scabs. He's added THIS book to the bedtime story mix.
Casper- Freshly four months old and more delicious than ever. He's turning into a thumb sucker (just like his mama). He loves Sofie the giraffe. He thinks his brother is the funniest person in the world. He often yells and screeches at random people on the street.

What I'm listening to at this moment.

Linus- "Goodness grief... Dis piece keeps coming off."
Casper- He smells like Burt's Bees and coconut oil.

Our humble abode was featured on A Beautiful Mess earlier today. I've been following the blog for years and I just love their "At Home With..." series, so when Katie of Skunkboy Creatures asked me if I would share a few photos of our space I was very happy to do so. It was nice to have reason to tidy up a bit. It doesn't always look this serene, trust me. I also just really wanted to take a few photos of the house before we move, which will be happening later this summer. We've grown to love this place and in just two years we've made so many memories here. Leaving it won't be easy. You can read more about our living/dining room in the article HERE. If you've already done so, I really enjoyed reading all the kind comments. Thank you! There have been a number of questions regarding certain items and colours in the house, I'll try my best to answer them at the bottom of this post. I'll also share a few photos of our bedroom, just because. I feel so incredibly lucky to have this home. We're safe and cozy here. Certainly not something to be taken for granted. Enjoy the tour, friends!

Linus- Doing what he does best- being a very funny big brother.
Casper- Grabbing fist fulls of Linus' hair. This little guy just loves hair.

Casper- Sweet sleepy baby Bear.
Linus- Patiently waiting after his immunizations. The boy didn't shed a tear.

Linus- Feeling a little nervous about the thunder storm going on outside. He's developed a fear/fascination with tornados... He's become very good at drawing them, too.
Casper- This baby boy is a very busy little man. He refuses to relax!

Linus- On his last day of preschool before Summer break!
Casper- Holding onto his favourite toy- a silicone teether ring. He's getting so good at reaching out to grab it.

We spent May long weekend in Vancouver with family. It was Casper's first flight and he was a dream baby. He smiled at the flight attendants when they walked by and slept most of the way. I was able to sip my ginger ale, watch Love It or List It Vancouver and wish I had brought my book in my carry on... We took Linus to Vancouver Island when he was 3 months old and it was just as easy. Such a great time to travel.
Vancouver was beautiful as always. The rhododenrons were blooming around every corner. We stayed in a hotel downtown, just a few blocks from where my dad, brother and step mom are staying while they renovate their home. We walked most places- Gastown, the park, the aquarium, the playground, along the water and to grab breakfast each morning. Linus had so much fun playing Lego and Star Wars with his uncles Zane and Elias. We miss those guys like crazy.
We're looking forward to going back for a longer visit in August. Hoping to meet a new little cousin!
