Sappy Apple goodies!

I've been busy again this week making pretty things for the 124st Grand Market here in Edmonton. Market totes, fabric bunting, lavender clouds and necklaces galore. It looks like it's going to be another sunshiny day, so if you're looking for something to do this evening come say hi to Cori and I! We might be giving out free lemonade again! Even though it was a total fiasco last time...
Oh, and for those of you who've been asking about when I plan on opening my Etsy shop again, I apologize. I know I had mentioned possibly opening it last week, but i've just been so busy these days.  I don't think I'll get around to starting it up for another couple of weeks. I'll keep you updated, though!
I'm thinking about doing a little Sappy Apple Shop giveaway next month. I'm not sure what I should offer up... Any suggestions?

This boy. I just can't get enough of him. He's just the most delicious little guy. He spends a lot of time playing with his Star Wars guys and his two Buzz Lightyear action figures. I often hear him wander around the house asking, "Buzz Lightyear and Buzz Lightyear! Where are you!?". Listening to him play and give all his little guys these personalities melts my heart. Sometimes I sit quietly at the kitchen table and listen to him in living room. These guys of his mostly just go to the grocery store to pick up some salami, take trips to the airport and occasionally throw a temper tantrum. I could sit and listen to him all day. I just can't believe we made him. The things he says are so cute and brilliant.
While he was playing with his guys this evening, he found a strange"thingy" and noticed it was the same as the strange "thingy" on his shirt! Oh, the excitement. There were many celebratory kisses exchanged.
Today is the day Linus learned that the "thingy" is actually called a paperclip. I think he may have learned a few other things as well.

Right Now...

Right now I'm...
•Devouring my second bowl of pickle soup today. It was so easy to make! Maybe I'll share the recipe on here soon.
•Choosing fabric for the summery wrap skirt i've been dreaming about making.
•Thinking maybe I should make a few...
•Loving how much time we've been spending in the backyard these days.
•Knowing I should be spending less time on the hammock and more time weeding...
•Delighting over the geranium by our door and the delicate poppies in our front yard.
•Listening to Julia Stone's new album.
•Wondering if Linus will nap soon...
•Noticing a few missing macarons, so probably not...
•Making many lovely necklaces for the market next week!
•Hoping to whip up a few more of my tote bags while i'm at it.
•Feeling inspired and oh so lucky.
•Looking forward to a sunny weekend full of music, ice cream and spending plenty of time with my boys.

I finished the skirt! I kinda sorta wanna make 20 more...

A photo shoot with Sarah Mavro.

Many of you are probably already familiar with Sarah Mavro and the gorgeous photos she takes. She generously gave away a photo session on the blog here a coupe of months ago. I'm so happy to know her and that we live in the same city because we were able to get a few beautiful family shots taken by her over the weekend. It's so rare for us to have a photo taken of all three of us, so I couldn't be more thrilled to get these done. The photos below are just a preview. I can't wait to see the whole set! The setting was dreamy and Sarah is just the sweetest lady.

You can visit Sarah's website here. I'm already dreaming up ways we can work together in the future!
Wishing you all a wonderful week. I'm hoping to spend a lot of time in the back yard with Linus, sipping lemonade and reading stories on the hammock. Jedi and Sadie will be hanging out with us which is always fun (in a totally bonkers/crazy kind of way that I love more than anything). I'm also hoping to do a bit of sewing. I have a little list- pretty skirt, picnic blanket, and market totes aplenty! More about that later.

Fathers Day.

Happy Fathers Day to all the amazing dad's of the world, and especially to this daddy. Linus is so lucky to have you in his life. You are a wonderful, loving, silly, patient, mindful papa and we love you more than all the stars.

Pura Botanicals Giveaway Winner!

Congratulations! You are going to love everything.
We will be contacting you shortly:)

To Market, To Market!

I have some exciting news! My good friend Cori and I are sharing a pretty little booth at the new 124 street Grand Market here in Edmonton! The market runs every Thursday evening until October and we're so very excited to be a part of it. We already had one very successful evening a couple of weeks ago and we're looking forward to setting up again this Thursday. I've been working so hard, trying to make enough jewelry and other lovely things to sell. I'm addicted to making these lavender clouds (pictured below). Seriously! Lavender Clouds! Made from vintage cotton scraps and organic French lavender. Tuck them in a drawer or your suitcase, or leave them out on the nightstand, whatever.... They’re adorable! They sold like hot cakes at the last market. I sold out within the first hour! It was very exciting. I've been digging into my vintage fabric stash to make them along with these super handy market totes (also pictured below). So if you happen to be in YEG on a Thursday evening with nothing to do, come say hello! 124 street Grand Market is full of friendly people, artists, crafts people, fresh and local food, live entertainment, food trucks, newborn babies in cuddly wraps and a lot of cute puppies! Our booth is called 'Bits + Baubles'. It's also the one that smells of lavender, has pretty fabric bows, hand made envelopes, necklaces, totes...oh, and free lemonade! Hope to see you there!
psst... I also plan on opening up my Etsy shop again very soon. Hopefully next week!
