Four more days!

 We have a very excited three year old in the house. He wakes up early every morning  to open his advent calendar and count down the days. Our elf was taking a ride on the gingerbread train this morning and Linus has been eating at least three Charlie Brown shaped sugar cookies a day... Today we're making paper snowflakes, keeping cozy by the tree and reading stories. Happy holidays to you all.
Love one another.

I opened up my Etsy shop. It's slowly filling with pretty little things that might ask nicely to come home with you. Feel free to check it out here!

This Moment

{This Moment} - A Friday ritual. Inspired by Soule Mama. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

And don't forget...

 ...a lavender cloud, or two, or three. I'll be selling these at The Royal Bison for $7.00 each or 3 for $15.00!

Pretty little lavender-filled clouds, made from vintage cotton scraps. Tuck them in a drawer or your suitcase, or leave them out on the nightstand, whatever.... They’re adorable! And they make great gifts....

* Natural insect repellent
* Materials: vintage cotton, organic lavender
* Care: spot clean.
* Use - soothes tired eyes, aids relaxation and meditation. Apply at room temperature, heat in the microwave for 30 seconds, or chill in the freezer for 10 minutes

*** A Note About Vintage Fabrics: All of my vintage and recycled fabrics should be considered “used” — gently used and thoroughly laundered — but “used” nonetheless.

I'll also be selling these three lovely necklaces at the Royal Bison. Made with nickle free raw brass and gold filled chain. Just two more days before the market! We've been in Hawaii for the past two weeks. It's been an amazing vacation. I'm feeling refreshed, ready to deck the halls and help all of you with your holiday shopping! Just click the Royal Bison link above to find out more about the market and click here to see our Bits + Baubles Facebook page.

 This sweet and simple bracelet will become one of your new favorite accessories.

•Made with twisted nylon cord, raw brass hexagon beads and faceted brass nugget beads.
•$8 each.

Choose from a variety of pretty colors. Give one as a gift and keep one for yourself. Find the honeycomb bracelet at the Royal Bison this December 1st and 2nd, and in my Etsy shop shortly after that. Just in time for the holidays.

Say hello to the...

 So lovely, so useful, so versatile, so earth-friendly - you're going to want to carry this bag with you everywhere.

Did I mention: IT'S REVERSIBLE? IT IS! Almost too good to be true.

These one-of-a-kind beauties feature two gorgeous vintage cottons and recycled canvas with large pockets on one side. The straps are 1 1/4" wide cotton webbing. I will be selling the bags in the photos at the Royal Bison for $30.00 each here in Edmonton on Dec 1st and 2nd and I plan on making more to sell in my Etsy shop shortly after that. I kind of want to keep them all for myself, though...

Bits + Baubles at The Royal Bison

Exciting news! My friend Cori and I are going to be selling our handmade goodies at the Royal Bison Craft & Art Fair this December! We've been super busy making all sorts of lovely things just in time for the holidays. It has been a tradition of ours to go to the Royal Bison together in search of amazing one of a kind, handmade, local gifts to give our loved ones. We're tickled pink to be a part of it this year.

My goodness, this pregnancy has been whizzing by. I'll be 23 weeks on Sunday. We've just been keeping so busy around here. I need to remind myself to slow down and soak in these moments. This new little one is a busy bee as well. I'm not sure what he's been up to in there, but it's seems like serious business. He's kicking and flipping and wiggling around so much. I'm loving it. It's as if he knows when I'm feeling overwhelmed or stressed about something. He'll give me a little nudge and it's all I need to feel at peace again. This sweet boy. I'm so in love with him already.

We've been working on the nursery. I'm waiting for our dresser/change table to arrive and then all we have left to do are a few finishing touches. I'm excited to share the end result with you all. Evan and I are really happy with how it's turned out so far. Linus has of course been a huge help. He's got his wooden tool box set up in there next to daddy's. Mostly he walks around the house with his hands on his hips letting me know that he and daddy are busy working. Working very hard judging by the exasperated tone in his voice... He's a funny guy.

Oh, and we finally have an official due date based on my previous ultrasounds! 03/03/2013

Stay warm friends! It's a winter wonderland here in Edmonton. Linus is so excited.

 Happy Halloween, friends! We've been having a spooky good time around here. Linus had so much fun dressing up for gymnastics class yesterday and again at preschool this morning for the big party! All the mamas and papas were inviting in for a few minutes to hear the class sing the super adorable Halloween songs they've been practicing. I loved every second of it. Linus and Evan are out doing a bit of trick-or-treating in our neck of the woods before I take him out with Jedi and Sadie near their house. I'm just sitting here listening to a spooky music mix, snacking on salty pumpkin seeds and handing out candy to all the little gremlins. I'm looking forward to helping Linus sort his candy later tonight. I wonder if he'll share with his little brother;)
Enjoy the night. Stay safe and if your trick-or-treating in Edmonton, bundle up!

I'm loving...

•Conversations with this puddin' pop. He's a sponge. He remembers everything! He brings up things I've said or done months ago. Things that seemed so insignificant at the time.
•This candle is the cats pajamas. The creme de la creme. It's the bees knees, I tell ya! It's called 'Hot Buttered Rum' and it's sold exclusively at Anthropologie when the weather turns cold. I'm obsessed with the smell. When I saw it in the store yesterday I had a mini heart attack as I gathered 8 of them in my arms. I did eventually calm down and decided to just buy two. I'll be asking for another one from Santa, though.
•apple pears- my latest craving. So crunchy, juicy and delicious!
•Listening to my baby boys heart beat. The soothing sounds never gets old. I rented a fetal doppler a while ago to help ease my mind before I was able to feel the little guy. Now we pull it out every once in a while just to check in between doctor visits. He can hear us now:)
•Planning the nursery. Evan painted his room 'pot of cream' and I've slowly been nesting away. Making a cozy little place for baby boy to call his own.
