Oh, how I love Rifle Paper Co. You can find some of their pretty little prints at Anthropologie right now. Check out these sweet x-mas cards I bought! This recipe box is on my wish list right now. Isn't it pretty!
Music is important to us and i'm always on the lookout for new bands to listen to as well as listening to the old stuff we've grown to love. I've decided to do a mixed tape feature here on my blog to share what i am listening to at the moment.
here is my very first mixed tape.
During my "spare time" I feed my need to create by making pretty things like jewelry, candles, garlands, mobiles etc. I make one of a kind (or few of a kind) pieces, incorporating vintage and reclaimed materials as much as possible - I'm a huge fan of the found object. My creations are inspired mostly by nature and simpler times, along with an effort to find balance in the juxtaposition of textures, beauty and function, old and new, etc. ...but mostly, it's just fun.☺
These are the sweet mobiles I have been making. I have adjusted them a little since making these two, and I will be sure to post pictures of the new ones very soon. I was inspired by my auntie Nola who made an adorable mobile using an embroidery hoop for her sweet baby girl, Hazel.
And these beauties are currently for sale in the shop as well. I am making many more necklaces with a much different feel to them. I expect to have enough made by next week sometime!

Evan and I got married this year on July 23rd in Vancouver. It was dreamy. We found the most wonderful photographer, Melia of Lucida Photography. She did such a beautiful job that one of my favorite wedding blogs, Green Wedding Shoes, asked to feature our wedding on her blog! You can also see our pretty invitations featured on another one of my favorite wedding blogs, The Ritzy Bee Blog. I'll post many more pictures of the night later, but for now i'll just leave you with these...
'Evan and I have known each other since kindergarten. We are high school sweethearts and seeing the beauty we created in our son Linus confirmed what we already knew, we were made for each other. We feel so lucky to have had such a perfect wedding filled with so much love. To look around and see everyone we love and who loves us, friendships from different times in our lives, all in one place. It truly is the best feeling. So many of our guests have shared with us that it was the most beautiful wedding they had been to and I truly believe it’s because of the amazing people we have in our lives.'-me
This is the song we chose for our first dance. Yes, it's now in a Reese's Peanut Butter Cups commercial.
Now that i'm a full time mommy, my days of diving into a project for hours and hours are over. My clock looks a little different. "i finished that in one nap!" you get the idea. Our little shmoo (18 months old) has made our lives completely more layered in the best way possible. I adore my men more than life and want to document our beautiful mess in this blog. Yes, i'm a bit of a sap. I hope to update a few times a week during nap time. The other naps of the week will be spent cleaning, baking, and making pretty little things to list in my Etsy shop, My Sweet Baboo, but mostly cleaning... I'll try not to post too many photos of our Swiffer, though it holds a special place in my heart.
